Meet Our Founder
Lorena Townsend is an artist, professional makeup artist, retired federal employee, and founder of the Dianna Marie Simpson Beauty Foundation, created in loving memory of her mother, Dianna Marie Simpson Bonnett, who lost her life to domestic violence at just 22 years old when Lorena was two.
After carrying this loss for 54 years, Lorena chose to turn her pain into purpose. Through her own healing journey with therapy, coloring, painting, creativity, and faith, she discovered the power of art to provide peace and self-expression. That experience inspired her to help others use creativity as a pathway toward healing, confidence, and renewed hope.
Today, the Dianna Marie Simpson Beauty Foundation supports survivors of domestic violence and children affected by its impact by connecting them with compassionate resources, creative opportunities, encouragement, and safe spaces to heal and grow. Through these efforts, the foundation helps individuals reclaim their voices, recognize their strength, and begin building brighter futures rooted in prayer, hope and possibility.
Art. Healing. Hope. Legacy.
